Bio

Akhilesh Bajaj says teaching information systems (IS) courses is challenging because the field is changing so rapidly. New technologies have to be constantly introduced into courses. Beyond the tools is the academic theory, the knowledge with a long shelf life, that is so important for University students. Imparting this knowledge in courses is what allows students to learn new technologies as the field changes. Bajaj has taught students at many levels, including the undergraduate, the graduate and the executive levels.


Akhilesh's scholarship spans many areas, including technical work in the areas of database and workflow systems, design science research in the area of requirements gathering and systems design, developing explanatory models that involve different data analytic techniques to explain business outcomes that involve the usage of technology, and applying new data analytic models.
