Bio

Professor Martindale has returned to her alma mater as a faculty member of Community and Public Health Nursing. She has served as both staff nurse and field nurse, and as a faculty member. Her previous clinical experience include the Regional VA and St. Francis Health Systems. Her academic teaching experience has covered Adult and Graduate studies (ADN, RN to BSN, and MSN), Community and Public Health Nursing, Nursing Informatics and Evidence Based Practice, Theoretical Foundations of Nursing, and Nursing Research. Angela received her PhD at Oklahoma City University, her research interests are in the area of under resourced college students and the effects of poverty on healthcare. Angela has a passion for seeing students be successful in becoming a nurse and pursuing their dreams.

Research Interests

Under resourced and first generation college students. The effects of poverty on healthcare. Community and Public Health. Human Sexuality.

Teaching Interests

Public health, community health, human sexuality, retention and student success courses, etc.
