James Gregory has been involved in numerous productions at TU as well as throughout the Tulsa theatre community, including Theatre Arts Productions, Gilbert & Sullivan Society, Light Opera Oklahoma, Theatre Tulsa, American Theatre Company and Tulsa Project Theatre. He is also hired regularly as one of the local musicians to play in the pit for Broadway touring shows when they come to Tulsa including The Producers, Peter Pan, and, most enjoyably, playing keyboard onstage in the first & second companies of the national tour of Jersey Boys in Tulsa, Little Rock & Fayetteville. Gregory has also had the privilege to judge Oklahoma High School One-Act Play Competitions, at both the regional and state levels, and has served several times as an adjudicator at the Arkansas State Thespian Festival. Some favorite shows include Little Shop of Horrors, The Drowsy Chaperone, Beauty and the Beast, Camelot, The Will Rogers Follies, Songs for a New World, Lucky Stiff, Joseph...,, Bat Boy, Pirates of Penzance, The Desert Song, Reefer Madness, Company, Chicago, Hair, Secret Garden, Into the Woods, Anything Goes, and Big River. He is also in great demand as a vocal coach, solo pianist, and accompanist for recitals and concerts, both classical and musical theatre.
