Professor Ray Yasser is lead co-author of Sports Law: Cases and Materials, a sports law casebook widely used in law schools around the country, and has published widely in the sports law area. He has served as plaintiff's counsel in more than 70 Title IX (gender equality) sports cases, and he has also represented numerous athletes in eligibility disputes. Yasser teaches torts, advanced torts, and sports law at TU, where he has won numerous teaching awards. He has taught international sports law abroad, and in the fall of 2009 was a Visiting Professor at The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law. Prior to joining the TU law faculty, Yasser served in the North Carolina Attorney General's Office. He earned his J.D. in 1974 from Duke Law School.

Research Interests

The lead coauthor of a sports law casebook which is used nationwide, and has published widely in the sports law area. Yasser has served as counsel for plaintiffs in over 70 Title IX cases.
