Biography

Professor Marianne Blair teaches Family Law, International and Comparative Family Law, and Civil Procedure I and II and serves as the Director of Study Abroad in the College of Law. She is a coauthor of Family Law in the World Community, the first casebook for American law students in the field of comparative and international family law. She is also a contributing author to the leading treatise on adoption law, Adoption Law and Practice, and Oklahoma Family Law: Statues and Rules Annotated, and she has published numerous articles on topics related to adoption law and international and comparative family law. Professor Blair has served as chair of the Association of American Law Schools Family and Juvenile Law Section and participated in drafting the Oklahoma Adoption Code as a member of the Oklahoma Adoption Law Reform Committee. She has received several teaching awards in the College of Law, and in 1992 she was a recipient of the University of Tulsa Outstanding Teacher Award. Professor Blair holds a Juris Doctorate from Ohio State University College of Law.
