Helen Hansen conducted research study for doctorate in area of diabetes education in an indigent population. She worked several years in acute care hospital, volunteered 15 years in an indigent clinic, worked several years as a public school nurse. She was facilitator for a diabetes support/education group that met monthly at the public library.
