Lynn B. Clutter, PhD, APRN, CNS, CNE is a full time tenure-track Assistant Professor at the University of Tulsa. Her teaching/practice areas are pediatric, maternal-infant, family, community health, genetics, ethics, and research. Her passion is equipping students for effective professional nursing roles as well as providing excellent patient/family care in nursing service. Dr. Clutter also is committed to helping prepare students to pursue advanced degrees by providing a sound educational and research foundation at the BSN level.
Dr. Clutter conducts both qualitative and quantitative research. Current publication topics include test anxiety & cortisol, attachment, children's pain, spirituality, adolescent parenting, unintended pregnancy, labor & delivery support, and adoption. She has served as a research mentor of student groups in course work and with Tulsa Undergraduate Research Challenge (TURC) students.
Dr. Clutter is a founding member and Vice President of the Wong- Baker FACES Foundation Board. Professional service has included leadership in several chapters of the international nursing honor society, Sigma Theta Tau International; local and national service with Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses; as well as service with several other professional organizations. She is the Faculty Advisor for Nurses Christian Fellowship.
Dr. Clutter has a long and diverse background of community service in areas such as nursing and advanced practice work in hospital and community settings, faith based contexts, and work with at-risk groups. She is certified as a Perinatal Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and Nurse Educator.
