School of Language and Literature

Marta Chamorro, a native of Spain, has a passion for teaching. She has taught Spanish at various proficiency levels at the University of Tulsa since 2000. Before teaching Spanish at TU, she taught Business and Accounting at a university in Spain and consulted for various corporations. She has combined her language and business background to create and launch a Business Spanish course that integrates business concepts, the Spanish language and regional/cultural studies. One of Chamorro's goals for all her classes is to have her students achieve the highest possible proficiency for that course level and to instill in them a life long interest in the Spanish language and culture.
