Dr. Orneita Burton specializes in the organizational aspects of information systems and their impacts on business operations and efficiencies. Her technical expertise centers around the implementation and application of enterprise resource planning systems (specifically, SAP) and their applications in various industries, including energy. Dr. Burton lives and works in Abilene, TX where she serves as Associate Professor of Information Systems in the School of Information Technology & Computing at Abilene Christian University. She previously ran her own quality engineering consulting company, worked as a process engineer and quality/productivity consultant at Mobil Chemical Company and Phillips Petroleum Company, and served as a research associate in the Center for Advancing Business through Information Technology (CABIT) at Arizona State University.
