Dr. Paulo Tan is passionately committed to equity and social justice for individuals with disabilities. His research focuses on inclusive practices, mathematics education, and teacher learning. He is actively involved in supporting pre- and in-service teachers to lead safe, inclusive, and high-quality learning environments. Prior to joining the University of Tulsa, he served as a Technical Assistance Coordinator and a Graduate Assistant for the Great Lakes Equity Center where he planned and coordinated network/outreach and center-hosted professional learning activities. Dr. Tan was a mathematics teacher in the public schools in Kansas and Indiana for ten years where supported students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds as well as students with a range of dis/abilities and English Language Learners in inclusive mathematics classrooms.
